maybe its the quality of the sound, but at the beginning, the snares sounded like they were playing on a table. But as it progressed it sounded better.
@AntiTeeVee No one wants to see the bassline. It just sounds cool, it doesn’t look cool. I’d much rather see tenors sweeping, than one hand of a bass drummer.
How do you do that Stick Spinning that Paul does, when he performs his solo in the re-visited version? [He rolls and flips his right-hand stick around] If there is a tutorial for this on Youtube that’d help a lot. Thanks =)
Ehh, not really. As far as I understand, mallets were the natural choice since the modern tenor evolved from the single tenors and the timp toms of the past. Now, while it may be easier to move a set of mallets around, MOST writers use it for the big fat sound instead of the thinner sound of a stick.
I’ve yet to see a good book where the writer waters sections because they’re played with sticks instead of mallets.
@Cheznikkkk It means the point of using mallets is so you won’t hit the rim and can do scrapes with ease. The added width to the diameter of the tip is designed so that you won’t hit the rim.
@awsomedrummer2 Well, he doesn’t necessarily suck. He just need’s to greatly work on backsticking and his consistency of each hand, then, his left hand won’t hit harder than his right.
I gotta say I’ve overlooked video alot, cause it’s just two guys in the bandroom goofin around. after actually watchin it… That was pretty f-n good. keep it up.
they sound so good and they look like they are barely trying.
Best version of Electric Wheelchair IMO.
do they have double shots on the tenors?

Snares sound funny. Less of a popcorn like sound, more like a snapping sound. Interesting.
0:54 to 1:04 those are some sexy sounding skanks…
@MBlood08 Agreed.. cranked like crazy
@samg701 The Cadets could’ve. Just sayin’. Although this is very fun to listen to. I just dislike the cranked snares.
not even a mr clean magic eraser can get that any cleaner

9 people have manual wheelchairs
Their snares sound like really high pitched for some reason.

@mikey16piet I personally play the tenors, but I just thought the Basses were being under-minded. Calm yo titties dawg. Why you mad?
why do the snares sound like the snares on the bottom are fucked?
Boy I love the sound of those snares….
I’m thinking SCV has the best drumline

Them are some reefed snizzys.
Does anyone have that lick from 0:12 to 0:14 transcribed?

Travis Barker took that beat in the beggining for his session
Are these high school or college students?

@TheMippo

@TheMippo
What’s that supposed to mean?

@Cheznikkkk That’s kinda the whole point of using mallets.
@awsomedrummer2 Well, he doesn’t necessarily suck. He just need’s to greatly work on backsticking and his consistency of each hand, then, his left hand won’t hit harder than his right.
1:01 . Nice. Very clean.

I gotta say I’ve overlooked video alot, cause it’s just two guys in the bandroom goofin around. after actually watchin it… That was pretty f-n good. keep it up.
